the sweet, sweet smell of the cottonwood trees in springtime

the rich red resin from the buds of the cottonwood trees can be used to make an incredibe healing salve sometimes called balm of gilead. My friend Linda Buffy makes a great one which she calls red bud salve. She collects the cottonwood buds herself and combines them with extravirign olive oil, st. john's wort, frankincense, and essential oil of birch - it is an excellent natural salve for skin irritation, wound healing, inflammation old injury pain & dry skin (eczema, psoriasis). I use it all the time and love it. here is where you can find it http://www.bcspiritsoap.com/salves.html

a wave of abundance for our feathered friends!

I am on a mission to raise some money for Carol Pettigrew and her organization BEAKS (bird emergency and kare society). Carol Pettigrew is devoted to rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing wild birds that get into trouble in the west kootenay area! Many of these "rescue" birds have had run-ins with cars, windows, or domesticated cats. She returns hundreds of birds back to the wild.

If you feel like pitching in a few dollars see the right-hand side bar. Let's see what we can do!
